Digital Accessibility for Doucal's

We firmly believe that the Internet should be available and accessible to everyone, and we are committed to offering accessible digital touchpoints to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstances or ability. To this end, Doucal’s works in cooperation with AccessiWay, a partner specialised in digital accessibility, to align as much as possible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide range of needs: individuals with blindness or low vision, people with motor, cognitive, neurological, or sensory disabilities.
Adhering to the WCAG, along with the technical support of AccessiWay, helps us ensure that our website is accessible to the widest possible audience, in accordance with the principles of inclusivity and applicable regulations.

Notes, Comments, and Feedback

Despite our efforts to ensure that everyone can customise our website to their needs, there may still be a few pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of becoming so, or lack an appropriate technological solution. We are constantly committed to improving our accessibility by adding, updating, and upgrading options and features, as well as developing and adopting new technologies.

Customisation through our accessibility widget

The accessibility widget provided by AccessiWay is a tool that improves website accessibility, making it more user-friendly and compatible with major assistive technologies. Through customisable features, it supports inclusive browsing for users with visual, motor, cognitive, and neurological disabilities, in accordance with Italian and European regulations.

The widget is accessible:

• Via keyboard at the top of the page (press TAB).
• Using the mouse, in a fixed position at the bottom (via the “universal access” icon).

Examples of available features:

• Blindness accommodation: Pressing TAB three times or activating screen reader 
compatible mode.
• Low vision: Activating zoom, high contrast, and font adjustment.
• Colour blindness: Highlighting links, titles, and clickable content.
• Reduced mobility: Browsing via keyboard or alternative tools.
• Visual sensitivity/photosensitivity: Disabling animations and enabling low-visual-stimulus palettes.

If the proper activation of any feature compromises compatibility with your configuration or assistive technology, please contact us and temporarily disable the widget through the designated button to avoid improper use of our service.
